Meaning and Question

The subject matter of my recent work is revolving around human fragility.  The human body is such a delicate object, and some people decide to treat it like it apiece of dirt on the bottom of a shoe.  I chose to focus on the topic because in the time that I have lived, I have lost many loved one’s by preventable diseases.  Some of these resulted in heart disease, cancer, or others.  The experiences that I have gone through tell me that you need to take care of your body.  The hospital is a place where sometimes you get bad news.  By not knowing what you have can lead to death.  I am creating work that shows that these diseases are real, and it does happen to you.  I want people to feel that you can live life with these. I want my work to be didactic.  By showing this body of work I hope to show that others care about what is going on in our fragile human bodies, and for them to see a piece of art work involving that will hopefully inspire people to get themselves checked.  This type of work could relate to everyone because we are all human.
